Wild Dog Quarantine Report (Month 9)

If you finish second with a PR, you can still celebrate. But refuse to concede, you’re a loser.

I am struck by the idea that wearing a mask is such a great burden.

Especially when you know a quarter million of your countrymen have died from a plague currently raging all around you.

How nice your life must have been.

We are told wearing a mask is a great burden folks feel imposes on their personal freedom.

Why is that, I wonder.

Self-quarantined since March 12th. Same day I got my last haircut.

Nowhere since except the grocery and the doctor’s. Nowhere else.

Nowhere else.

One trip to Lowe’s, okay. Needed rat poison.

Masked always. Always masked.

Alone together for month after month after month.

My wife turned down outdoor dining at a restaurant on her birthday.

The platinum anniversary thereof.

Why take the risk, she said.

The young redhead now has long silver hair.

Me, too.

Not poking our heads out until Groundhog’s Day, praying for six weeks of Dr. Fauci.

Only one guy at the grocery without a mask today.
He was wearing a RON PAUL 2012 t-shirt.
    And Nikes.
