I Believe In Miracles

Miracles honor you because you are lovable.
They dispel illusions about yourself and perceive the light in you.
They thus atone for your errors by freeing you from your nightmares.
By releasing your mind from the imprisonment of your illusions, they restore your sanity.

What knot? Who nose?
You can be anything, Mom said.
I believe in miracles, I said.

Became a writer.

Many years later. Many.
Another woman. Yet another.
But different. Real different.

So, what do you do?, she asked.
Told her I was a poet/philosopher.

She was impressed.

What have you written? Now curious.
Almost nothing, I said.
That's my philosophy.

What about you? Curious myself.
I am a worrier/warrior, she said.
Usually in that order.

Devilish smile.

She is a miracle.
A whole lot
of sunshine.

With little bit
of hurricane.

Miracles honor you
because you are lovable.

They dispel illusions
about yourself
and perceive the light
in you.

They thus atone
for your errors
by freeing you
from your nightmares.

By releasing your mind
from the imprisonment
of your illusions,
they restore your sanity.
