Some years ago Jeffrey Keller postulated a number of signposts – twenty-one – by which we might assess personal growth.
I am convinced better people make better poker players. Some days I work on my game.  Every day I work on myself.
Every day there is much work to do.

1. You don’t fix blame or make excuses.
2. You don’t look back.
3. You guard the sanctity of your thoughts.
4. Your spiritual beliefs are growing by leaps and bounds.
5. You stop comparing yourself to others.
6. You capitalize on your own uniqueness.
7. You have a sense of gratitude every day.
8. You laugh a lot more – especially at yourself.
CAN’T FIND 9-11. [probably had something to do with being organized.  I’m guessing. – ed.]
12. You’re less concerned with what other people think.
13. You place more emphasis on honesty and integrity.
14. You stop trying to “fix” others.
15. You take the opportunity to lift someone else.
16. You’re cutting down on judgment.
17. You see things in perspective.
18. You listen more and ask questions.
19. You’ve found that discipline is fun.
20. You compromise more often.
21. You set high standards for yourself and others.
