The House Majority (It’s Not Me)

I’m assiduously critical of people who want to start their American Dream and that journey and want to start it the wrong way. I think like this: the United States was created on immigration, it was created on immigration, on diversity. I strongly encourage people who want to come here to do it. But I also encourage it to be done correctly, because I think so. Imagine starting a relationship with a lie or someone doing something wrong, right? So I think do not. It is not beneficial for me or you in this relationship. – U.S. Congressman George Santos

You
would not let these people
hold your wallet or
guard your children or
housesit,
yet they are in charge.
You
would not trust them
to water your plants or
park your new car.
You
would not let them
feed your goldfish or
walk your dog.

Oh, God, no.
Not the dog.
Yet they are in charge.
When
I was just ten years old,
I looked around
and I said -
out loud -
"This is totally fucked."

My first dirty word.
For
the next 60 years
I thought it was me,
then Trump
then Trump
then Trump
became President.
Guess what?
It's not me.

If a conspiracy theorist broke into your house and hit your elderly family member on the head with a hammer, would you be amused, would you think that was funny? The Republican party thinks so. The House majority thinks so.
