Disregard the rape of pensions and savings. Forget wage stagnation. Never mind skyrocketing executive compensation and record corporate profits. Crumbling infrastructure. None of that matters now.
If you were going to take over America, what would you do? Can’t be done, you say. What do they do in other susceptible countries?
Find a charismatic mouthpiece. Create a crisis; real and imagined is best. Diminish opposition leaders. Control the media.
Take over the military. Always a few disgruntled generals.
Play to the people’s basest instincts. Tribal fears. Spread false, incendiary propaganda.
Build a wall.
